It’s Time to Get Social!

Agents, as you already know, everyone is on social media! And when I say everyone, I mean EVERYONE. Approximately, there are 20 million social media users residing in the United States in 2022. Roughly 82% of Americans between ages 18 and 49 are active on at least one social media site. And around 45% of those 65 years and older report using social media on a typical day.

I do not know about you, but that sounds like a lot of potential clients and sales!

Here at Empower, we understand agents must stay competitive in all spaces. That is why we have worked to develop a new set of resources dedicated to helping you flourish on those social platforms.

How to Create a Business Facebook Page

If you are ready to create a social media presence but do not know where to start, we have you covered with what to do. We have produced a step-by-step tutorial on how to create a business Facebook page. The video walks you through each step of page creation and even touches on how you can manage that page.

Facebook is the primary social channel that we like to recommend when getting started because of its user-friendly setup and capabilities. Additionally, it remains one of the most popular social media platforms today.

Social Media Best Practices

Social media can be successful in many ways. There are strategies that allow you to manage it more effectively and make it simpler. These best practices include knowing the frequency of posting, deciding when and what to post, and so much more.

We have provided a presentation highlighting the best practices for Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram. The presentation touches on general rules of thumb when using social media. We even give a little insight into some organic and paid ways to increase your following.

Social Media Shareables

So you have created your business pages and know the best practices for each major platform. What next? Now you need to start posting engaging content. And we have provided you with a head start!

If you sell Medicare, Health, Life, or Annuities, you can find a pack of 10 customizable graphics for each product line ready to be downloaded and posted on your social channels. Each graphic image has a unique call-to-action where you can input your phone number. However, if you prefer not to have the call-to-action, you can choose to delete it and use the graphic alone. You may even add your logo to the image! You will find the directions on how to do so in the packages.

These consumer-based images work for all the primary social channels (Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Twitter). If you post the images to Instagram, ensure that you post them on the original sizing. Otherwise, it might cut off the image.
