Pre-order enrollment kits for 2019 MA/MAPD, PDP plans
If you’re “ready to sell” for 2019, you can pre-order an initial amount of enrollment kits for 2019 Aetna and Aetna Coventry Medicare plans (MA/MAPD, PDP) for the early weeks of the Annual Election Period (AEP). Follow these instructions to pre-order enrollment kits through Producer World.
Pre-order 2019 AEP marketing materials
September 17: If you’re “ready to sell” for 2019, you can begin previewing and ordering print/ship and print/mail marketing materials for 2019 AEP on Studio. Please note that these orders will be held until October 1.
October 1: All pre-ordered materials will be shipped or mailed. On this date, you can also begin downloading materials free of charge.
Compliance Connection: Guidelines for assisting your clients prior to 10/1
As you know, the Annual Election Period (AEP) runs from October 15 to December 7. The first day you can begin marketing 2019 plans is October 1. You can market 2018 and 2019 products starting on October 1, provided marketing materials clearly indicate what plan year is being discussed. Before October 1, you’re prohibited from providing marketing materials to, or discussing 2019 plans or plan changes with, your existing clients or with prospects. You can view all training and register online at AetnaMedicareAgentTraining.com. Also, if you still need to complete your other ready-to-sell requirements, including annual certification, don’t delay!
Submitting hierarchy changes from October 1 to December 31
As a reminder, there is a moratorium on hierarchy changes from October 1 to December 31. This rule is in place so we can prioritize processing new contract requests submitted during AEP. This policy is on page 51 of the Aetna Medicare Producer Guide. If you need to make a hierarchy change, please make sure you submit your request through no more forms by September 30.
