2017-2018 Medicare Marketing Guidelines and Producer Guide

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) recently released their 2018 Medicare Marketing Guidelines (MMG). Updated text and guidelines appear in red. Remember to always refer to, and follow, the complete and current CMS MMG.

The Aetna Medicare Producer Guide provides you with tools and resources to help you sell, making it easy to grow and do business with Aetna. It also outlines key Aetna and CMS requirements to market and sell  Individual Medicare products (MA/MAPD, PDP). Aetna’s updated the content to make it easier for you to find the information you need. Check out the dynamic links in the Table of Contents to quickly find what you’re looking for. All new sections for 2018 appear in pink. There’s also added information on:

• Aetna’s Senior Supplemental products
• The Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA)
• Just-in-time appointment

Also, as noted in the Producer Guide, be sure to access the helpful additional resources on Producer World.

You can now view our 2018 First Look document on Producer World under the product tab. If you need access, go to the link above and click “Register Now.”

IMPORTANT: Aetna’s First Look document is for producer-use only. It’s confidential and proprietary. Distribution to consumers, other insurers, or any other person or company is strictly prohibited and may be grounds for termination of your agreement with Aetna.

Get a first look at Innovation Health’s 2018 plans

We’re excited to launch our first joint venture in Northern Virginia, Innovation Health. These plans will help offer more value to your clients.

To get a first look at Innovation Health’s 2018 Medicare Advantage plans, go to Producer World and select the product tab. Then click on “VA, Innovation Health” in the 2018 First Look list.

Register for 2018 Market-Specific Training and Complete Your 2018 Certifications

Make sure you attend a 2018 market-specific training for all states and markets where you plan to sell—It’s required. At these trainings, you’ll learn about our 2018 plan benefits for the local service area, our provider and pharmacy networks, competitive advantages, agent tools and more.

It’s easy to register! Starting August 1, visit AetnaMedicareAgentTraining.com and fill out a short form to view the upcoming trainings in the states and markets where you plan to sell. Then, select the trainings you want to attend and register online.

You can now complete your 2018 certification for Aetna and Coventry Individual Medicare products (MA/MAPD, PDP). It’s one of the requirements you’ll need to complete to sell our 2018 products. Click here to find out more.
